After the snow starts piling up and that black ice sets in, it can be hard to tap into the holiday spirit (especially when you’re slipping and sliding across the interstate at 7AM and your car door is frozen open).

If you live somewhere with four seasons you might need something to lift up your spirits in the dead of winter. When the roads are too icy to drive, try having your own spa day at home.
While you’re doing all of your at-home spa treatments you might as well multitask: watch your favorite movie, get some work done, read a book, or catch up with a friend.
Just remember to pick up your favorite products at the store so you have them with you the next time you’re snowed-in. If you don’t, there are plenty of DIY, natural recipes you can try for your hair and skin.
If you’re inside all day, there are plenty of healthy meals you can try out to make the house smell good. It’s the simple things like good recipes that will make your winter much more enjoyable.
Make the most of your time inside by watching your favorite movie with friends or with your significant other. If you’re taking the night to yourself, this is the perfect addition to your spa day at home.
Snow days offer some valuable time to get ahead on projects or take care of a long to do list so you can emerge with your house in order.
Set up your space like you would for a movie night or doing something you love but replace Netflix with a book for your favorite class, a course you ca’t wait to start, or declutter your house.
Finally, one reason you might not be loving winter is you don’t have the right clothing to keep you warm so you can enjoy the season. Reassess your closet and while you’re stuck inside wear comfy clothing that you love.
